170% Congress income, BJP’s record earnings, EC released annual audit report

According to the recent annual audit report of the party filed with the Election Commission, BJP’s annual earnings have increased by 83% from Rs 2360.8 crore to Rs 4340.5 crore in 2023-24. Of which 1685.6 crore rupees came through the election bond. This is the highest earning ever from the bond declared through any party. The Election Commission of India provided data that showed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP has huge cash and bank balance of Rs 7,113.80 crore. Congress is the second richest political party in India with Rs 857.15 crore till 31 March 2024.
BJP spent Rs 1,754.06 crore during 2023-24
According to the data provided to the Election Commission, the saffron party spent Rs 1,754.06 crore during 2023-24, when the Lok Sabha elections were announced, which is 60 percent more than Rs 1,092 crore spent in 2022-23. The Lok Sabha elections were announced on 16 March 2024.

Congress spent Rs 619.67 crore during 2023-24
On the other hand, the oldest party spent Rs 619.67 crore during 2023-24, while in 2022-23 spent Rs 192.56 crore. The annual audit report of the Election Commission has revealed that the BJP has now received a voluntary contribution of Rs 1,685.69 crore through the banned election bond during 2023-24, compared to Rs 1294.15 crore last year. The ruling party has also received another contribution of Rs 2,042.75 crore during the year, compared to Rs 648.42 crore in 2022-23 last year. In its audit report to the Election Commission, the Congress has received a total contribution of Rs 1,225.11 crore during 2023-24, including Rs 1129.67 crore through grants, donations and contribution.
