The Haryana Police team, who went to arrest an accused of cyber crime in Didwana-Kuchaman district of Rajasthan, was attacked by about a dozen miscreants and rescued the accused from police custody.
In this case, Rajasthan Police detained an accused from Chitawa police station area and will be questioned. Kuchaman City Deputy Superintendent of Police Arvind Bishnoi said that the incident took place on Sunday night in Kala Bhati of Kuchaman city when a team of Haryana Police was going back from his vehicle after arresting an accused of online fraud from Ranasar.
Bishnoi said that during that time about 8-10 colleagues of the accused started chasing the Haryana Police vehicle and hit him from behind, causing the vehicle to be badly damaged.
He said that the attackers not only assaulted the police team but also rescued their partner. Bishnoi said that the attackers also kidnapped the driver of the police vehicle but later left him at a toll booth.
Haryana police officers had to take shelter in a nearby hotel. He said that the Rajasthan Police had no prior information about the action of the neighboring state police.
