The security department of Agra division remained ‘failed’ in giving momentum, train survived from crash

On January 22, an express train escaped from the crash on 22 January amid the alleged negligence of the security department of Agra division of the railway. This happened when the loco pilot of Lalgarh Superfast Express did not show a vigilance signs between Kitham and Farah stations.

A spokesman for Agra Division said, “Departmental action has been taken against the employees responsible for negligence.” However, he did not give details of the action.

Sources said that a speed limit of 20 km per hour was fixed due to repair work between Kitham and Farah stations and all trains passing through there were to maintain this speed limit.

Sources said, “There is no fault of the train crew because the concerned departments, train controller and station master did not consume them about the prescribed pace.” He said, “Later, there is a care of caution near the respective place. After seeing the signal, the loco pilot slowed down the train. However, by the time he applied the brake, the train had crossed the respective part at a speed of more than 20 kilometers per hour.
