The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched its GSLV-F15 with NVS-02 at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh at 6:23 am, marking the 100th rocket mission of ISRO. The mission is also the first for the Space Agency President V Narayanan, who has recently taken over. This is ISRO’s first venture of this year. Union Minister of Space Sciences and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh said that this achievement makes every Indian proud.

Jitendra Singh said that we are also proud of the scientific skills, abilities and abilities of our scientists and space experts, as well as, I am grateful to the capable environment for the protection provided by the important leadership under the leadership of PM Modi. He said that there has been a long jump since 2014 and it is in terms of both infrastructure and investment. In the last 50 years, the pace of development of ISRO should not have been as it should have been. Work on the third and big launching pads in the last 10 years is going to start.
Singh said that another place has been identified in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu where PM Modi laid the foundation stone in February 2024. The launch of foreign satellites is causing huge revenue. With the launch of American satellites, ISRO has earned around $ 172 million, and with the launch of European satellites, ISRO has earned 292 million euros. Out of all these satellites, more than 90% of satellites have been launched only in the last 10 years. The total space economy is more than $ 8 billion and this growth is so fast and is happening at such a speed that in the next 7-8 years, we can grow 5 times more to about 44 billion dollars. As we are moving towards India by 2047, the space economy can emerge as an important component of the overall India’s development story.

In his address after a successful launch, Shri Narayanan said that the satellite was exactly installed in the necessary (GTO) orbit. This mission is the 100th launch which is a very important milestone. “The first major rocket to fly from Sriharikota was the satellite launch vehicle (SLV) on August 10, 1979 and now the space department has completed a century after about 46 years later. All major rockets have been launched by the Government of India in Sriharikota till now.
