US President Donald Trump has signed a memorandum regarding establishing a center with a capacity of 30,000 people at Gwantanamo Bay to detain “high -priority criminal foreigners”.
The Gwantanamo Bay detainment center has been used till now to keep terrorists, but now illegal migrants with criminal records will also be kept in it. The agreement was signed on Wednesday.
Trump directed the Defense Department and Home Safety Department to prepare this center. According to the memorandum, Trump ordered the expansion of the Pravasi Operations Center at “Navy Station Guantanamo Bay” to accommodate the “high -priority criminal foreigners” and meet the related enforcement requirements.
