The campaign for the Delhi assembly elections ended. The main contest in Delhi is between the BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress. Votes will be cast in Delhi on 5 February and the results will come on 8 February. The BJP has been out of power in Delhi for the last 25 years. This is the reason that the saffron party has put its full strength. However, Arvind Kejriwal -led Aam Aadmi Party is confident that he will regain power in three consecutive years.

The Indian National Congress also worked hard to come to power in the national capital. By 2013, the Congress, which ruled the capital for 15 years till 2013, did several shows to regain power. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that even though the election campaign has stopped, the glimpse of the decision taken by the people of Delhi will be seen on February 5. Our party workers have worked hard for the assembly elections this time. Delhi BJP has got the benefit of PM Modi’s name and identity. People have given us a lot of love because of PM Modi. He said that the mood of the public is telling that the lotus is going to bloom in Delhi on 5 February. I want to thank the central leadership of the BJP.
Sachdeva said that PM Modi gave a lot of time for Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, our party president JP Nadda held meetings from time to time. If you add all the meetings, more than 650 meetings have been held by our party leaders, including Chief Ministers of many states. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said that the people of Delhi will vote on February 5 to form a government which will run through double engine. Delhi does not want a fighting government. The people of Delhi will vote for the person who says ‘Khelo India’, not the one who says ‘Peel India’.

The BJP MP said that the people of Delhi will vote for the person who says ‘Desh Nahin Daane’, not to say ‘Daru will not stop’. On 5 February, my siblings of Delhi will leave for 5 years to form the BJP government. According to the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi, 1.56 crore voters are eligible to vote at 13,766 polling stations on 5 February. These include 83.76 lakh men, 72.36 lakh females and 1,267 are third gender voters. In an effort to make the voting accessible, 733 polling stations have been set up for persons with disabilities. Under home polling facility for senior citizens and people with disabilities, 6,980 out of 7,553 eligible voters have already voted. The service, which started from 24 January, will continue till 4 February.
