According to statistics, 25 crore devotees had come to the Kumbh Mela of the year 2019, whereas in the Kumbh Mela of the year 2025, this number can reach 45 crores. After this, there will be a continuous increase in economic activity during Mahakumbh. A total economic activity worth Rs 2 lakh crore can be seen during this period. UP government’s economic advisor KV Raju had shared these figures in the Navbharat Times Samvad Conclave last month.

A tent city has been constructed in Prayagraj for organizing this Mahakumbh. 67,000 street lights have been installed in this tent city. A total of nine permanent ghats and 30 pontoon bridges have been built here. Nearly 400 kilometers of temporary roads have been built, reports The Economic Times (ET). The state government has made tight security arrangements by installing 23,000 CCTV cameras, AI-based surveillance and underwater drones. There are 1.5 lakh toilets at the fair venue and 10,000 sanitation workers are deployed to keep them clean. According to ET, around 550 shuttle buses and 7,000 roadways buses will be run to improve connectivity for pilgrims. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had earlier said that 13,000 trains, including 3,000 special trains, will be run for Mahakumbh devotees.

Raj Mohanty, vice president of Crayons Advertising, which has bagged the advertising rights for the Maha Kumbh, recently told ET, “We are constantly getting queries on our phones from companies, both domestic and international.
