Five people were killed and three others injured in two separate road accidents in Dhar and Harda districts of Madhya Pradesh. Police gave this information on Sunday. Police said both the accidents occurred late Saturday night.
Dharampuri police station in-charge Santosh Yadav said that two children and a person died and two others were injured in a collision between a car and a truck on Dharampuri-Manawar road in Dhar. He said that the deceased have been identified as Ali (5), Falak (12) and Wasim (24).
The official said that two other people were injured in this accident, who are being treated at the government hospital in Dharampuri. Police have registered the case and are investigating the incident.
A truck hit a motorcycle at Amkatra village on the Harda-Indore road under Timarni police station area in Harda district, killing two people and injuring another, a police official said.
Police have taken the truck driver into custody and registered a case. Police said that the deceased have been identified as Makhan and Imrat, aged between 25 and 27 years.
