Finally, Nitish agreed! Will Nishant enter politics after Holi?

,Karpoori Thakur never took his family forward. Nowadays people increase their families. We also did not promote anyone in the family by learning from Karpuriji. We always enhance others.,This statement given by Nitish Kumar on the birth anniversary of Karpoori Thakur in January 2024 had written the script of separation of JDU and RJD. After which Lalu’s daughter Rohini had targeted Nitish Kumar through X-post. We all know what happened later. Stating this background simply means that Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar has always been critical of dynastic politics. He has often been heard taunting the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), saying that they have only promoted the family. Kumar also often said that Bihar is his family. But now, ahead of the assembly elections, JD(U) is preparing to welcome a political successor. There is news quoting sources that Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar is likely to join active politics after Holi. Quoting a JD (U) source close to the CM, it is being claimed that there is a delay in getting the green signal only from Nitish Kumar. Sources reveal that Nitish was informed about the ever increasing demand from party workers regarding Nishant’s entry into politics.

First appeal to the public for the party in Bakhtiyarpur
Nishant’s name has been in discussion within JD(U) since last year. Some party workers raised the demand to include Nishant in the party. Although senior leaders rejected it, Nishant’s name still kept cropping up at regular intervals. However, senior JD(U) officials have avoided speaking openly on the matter. On January 8, Nishant along with his father went to his hometown Bakhtiyarpur to unveil the statues of freedom fighters. “If it is possible, please vote for JD(U) and my father and make them win again,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the event, a few steps away from his father. This was his public appeal to the party. Before this, he was last seen at a political function during his father’s swearing-in ceremony in 2015.
Should Nishant enter politics?
Senior JDU leader and minister Shravan Kumar had given some hints about Nishant joining politics. Shravan Kumar had said that we welcome his (Nishant’s) statement. He has a good understanding of the present government. When asked whether Nishant should enter politics? In response to this, a Bihar government minister from Nitish’s home district Nalanda had said that of course, youth with such progressive thoughts are welcome in politics. The decision will be taken at the right time. Although JD (U) has not officially spoken on the matter, many party leaders are seen speaking in hushed tones about his political debut.
Lalu put forward Tejashwi and Ram Vilas put forward Chirag
Lalu Prasad had introduced his son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav as the next leader of the party in 2013. Around the same time, Ram Vilas Paswan also introduced his son Chirag. It was Chirag who played an important role in bringing LJP into the fold of NDA before the 2014 elections. That decision changed the political fortunes of LJP. Similarly, Tejashwi led the RJD-led grand alliance to 110 seats in the 2020 assembly elections. One leader even says that if Nishant had joined politics a decade ago, he could have been the natural successor to Nitish Kumar. But it’s not too late. We need to bring Nishant Kumar to JD(U) for the future. Let us tell you that Nishant is the only son of Nitish Kumar and late Manju Sinha. He is an engineering graduate from Birla Institute of Technology in Mesra.
