Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav alleged that in the by -election of Milkipur Assembly, police officers are investigating the identity cards of the voters and have demanded immediate removal of these police officers from the Election Commission. Nayar emphasized that police officials are not investigating the identity cards of the voters. In a conversation with reporters, Faizabad SP MP Awadhesh Prasad alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to threaten voters by pressurizing the authorities to win the election. He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself visited Milkipur 10 times in the last few months and deployed 16 ministers but it did not affect the voters and he is supporting the SP. Election officials in Ayodhya said that voting is going on peacefully and complaints are being noted.
Voting for the by -election in Milkipur assembly seat started at 7 am on Wednesday.
