Shinde, who is a prominent Shiv Sena leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in the BJP-led grand alliance-NDA government, has conveyed the party’s decision to BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, who is the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister.
Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena has decided to support the BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections, where the national saffron party is facing off against Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP and Congress.
In the letter, Shinde said that under my leadership, Shiv Sena has been the guide of Balasaheb Thackeray’s Hindutva ideology. Following this legacy, Shiv Sena is a member of NDA under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said Shiv Sena will actively support all BJP candidates and has directed the Delhi unit of the party to connect with the state unit of BJP and actively participate in the campaign.
Shiv Sena’s Delhi unit chief Sandeep Chaudhary also met BJP’s Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva and submitted a letter of support. For more than three decades, the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance has stood as a powerful force in Indian politics, sharing common ideals of Hindutva and good governance. Their recent victory in the Maharashtra state elections underlines the strength of this partnership.
