Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khivansar introduced the anti -illegal conversion Bill in the assembly. The Bill provides for at least one year imprisonment, which can be extended for five years and punishment of a fine of Rs 15,000. In this, two years imprisonment for those who illegally converted a woman of minor or Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), which can be increased to ten years and a fine of Rs 25,000 was made. Is. The Bill provides for a three -year jail sentence in case of collective conversion, which can be extended for 10 years and a fine of Rs 50,000.

It states that those who want to convert voluntarily, they will have to give an affidavit to the district officer in the prescribed format at least 60 days ago. The Bill states, “There have been many such cases recently in which people were motivated or forced to adopt another religion through misunderstanding, force use, wrong effects, oppression, temptation or deceit.” It states, “Various laws related to the right to religious freedom are already present in various states of the country, but there was no law on the above subject in Rajasthan. In view of this, it was decided to enact a law to curb illegal conversion. ”
