BJP Member of Parliament (MP) Etela Rajender encountered a real estate broker in Medchal district of Telangana. After allegations surfaced that the broker had illegally encroached upon the land of poor locals in the Pocharam area, Rajendra met the real estate agent. According to sources, the dispute dates back to 1985, when poor residents acquired plots of land, some of which built houses, while others remained without development. However, Rajendra said the broker tampered with the documents, allegedly bringing in musclemen to scare the local people. Several complaints were reportedly lodged with the police over the years, but no action was taken.

Hundreds of complaints were registered in the police station. Since no action was taken, they (locals) approached me, hence, I asked them to set up a tent for an event. I assured them that I would be there with the officials. He (the broker) threatened the local people. He is not a realtor but a ‘goon’. People were revolting so I also joined them. I reached there and saw him partying with ‘goons’. After a heated argument I slapped him. Wherever the law fails, I have to be there.
