Two laborers died and six others were injured when linter fell on them while laying slabs in an under-construction building in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur on Saturday. Police gave this information.
Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police Lakhan Patle told PTI that the incident took place in Vishal Nagar area on VIP Road, where a multi-storey building is being constructed.
He said that according to preliminary information, at around 3.30 pm, the slab was being laid between the seventh and tenth floors of the building when the linter broke and fell.
The official said that the workers have been taken out and admitted to different hospitals. He said that construction material is being removed from the site so that it can be ascertained whether any workers are still trapped or not.
