A formal complaint was filed against Telangana Chief Minister A Revant Reddy alleging betrayal. Retired IPS officer and Bharat Rashtriya Samiti (BRS) leader RS Praveen Kumar filed a complaint at the Narsingi police station accusing criminal betrayal and sufficient financial loss to the state treasury after the sudden cancellation of the Formula E Race program in Hyderabad. According to the complaint, Hyderabad was deployed as a global center for e-commotion and sustainable innovation, which hosted his first formula e race in February 2023.

The event was part of a multi-season agreement. However, under the administration of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, later Formula E programs were allegedly canceled unilaterally, without consulting experts, cabinet or state assembly. The complainant claimed that the decision led to a financial loss of Rs 55 crore. Kumar argued that this action stems from political vengeance, which aims to weaken the initiative initiated by the previous BRS administration. He also highlighted the contradiction with other states like Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, which were making heavy investments in similar international events to promote their economies and global status.

The former IPS officer requested a detailed investigation into the alleged conspiracy and demanded criminal action against the Chief Minister for financial damage and violation of public belief. The Telangana government has not yet released an official response to the allegations.
