Just before the assembly elections to be held in Delhi on February 5, eight MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party resigned from the party. Today, eight outgoing MLAs who left the Aam Aadmi Party joined the BJP. It is said that these MLAs were angry at not being given tickets for the election and were in touch with other parties. Some MLAs shared their resignations on social media and targeted AAP on corruption and other issues. In the presence of Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva and Vijayant Panda, all the MLAs joined BJP.

Most MLA Madan Lal from Kasturba Nagar claimed that he and six other party MLAs have resigned from AAP’s primary membership. Madan Lal said that he has also sent his resignation to Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal. AAP MLAs who resigned include Bhavna Gaur (Palam), Naresh Yadav (Mehrauli), Rohit Mehulia (Trilokpuri) and Pawan Sharma (Adarsh Nagar). Voting for the 70 -member assembly of Delhi will be held on February 5 and the counting will be held on February 8.
