The water supply is being adversely affected during the assembly election process due to high levels of ammonia in the water supplied from Haryana to the national capital.
The Election Commission on Monday sought a factual report from Haryana on the allegations made by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on the allegations of ammonia in the water supplied from the neighboring state of Haryana.
The Chief Ministers of Delhi and Punjab approached the Election Commission (EC) on Monday over the level of ammonia in water. He alleged that the water supply is being adversely affected during the assembly election process due to high levels of ammonia in the water supplied from Haryana to the national capital.
Sources said that the Election Commission has directed the Haryana government to submit a factual report on the matter by Tuesday afternoon. Voting for the 70 -member assembly of Delhi will be held on February 5 and the votes will be counted on February 8.
