Four -storey building collapses in Burari, Delhi, rescue work continues

A four -storey building collapsed near the Oscar Public School in Burari in North Delhi on Monday evening. An official of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) gave this information. DFS suspects that many people are stranded under the rubble.

DFS chief Atul Garg said, “The incident took place around 6:56 pm, after which immediate response was taken from emergency services.” He said that nine fire engines have been deployed to help in rescue work.

Garg said, “Our teams are working with the police to find and save people trapped in the debris. According to preliminary reports, the possible reason for the building collapse is structural weakness, although the investigation is on. ”

The police have laid siege to the area to prevent further accidents. Former Delhi Chief Minister and National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal wrote on social media, “This incident is very sad.
