Ghaziabad Police has arrested 8 miscreants of this gang, who used to hold youth hostage and make nude photos and videos of them and then extort money by blackmailing them. This incident has created a stir in the entire area, and it has come to light that till now many youths had lost their hard-earned money by falling prey to this gang.
How did the gang work: According to the police, this gang used to trap the youth in a very vicious manner. After befriending the youth on dating app, the gang members used to call them to their flat by luring them for sexual activity. When the victimized youth reached his room, he was surrounded and taken hostage. After this, the gang members used to beat them and blackmail them by making nude photos and videos.
Police action: Ghaziabad Police’s ACP Kavinagar, Abhishek Srivastava said that 8 miscreants of this gang have been arrested. The main objective of these vicious miscreants was to extort money from the youth by mentally harassing them. Taking immediate action against this gang, the police have started investigating their bank accounts to find out how many more youths have been victimized by these people till now.
Stories of the victims: The two main victims complained to the police about this despicable act by the gang. The first victim was an engineer who worked in Noida. He told that he had befriended a stranger through the online Grindr app, who called him to the Surya Garden Society flat on the evening of 12th. When he reached there, he was pushed and locked in a room by four miscreants and then beaten badly. After this, those miscreants made his nude video and threatened him that if he did not pay the money, the video would be made viral and he would be murdered.
Similarly, the second victim youth also told in his complaint to the police that on the 13th, another person had called him to his flat in the name of sexual activity, where seven people were already present. These miscreants also locked her in the room, beat her and made a nude video and demanded money. When he did not have money, these people took a loan from an online bank and transferred a total of Rs 1,18,000 from his account.
Arrest and police investigation: The police took immediate action on the basis of both the complaints and arrested all the 8 miscreants of the gang. The names of the arrested accused are Kapil, Sandeep, Nitin, Deepak, Arun, Abhishek, Abhishek Baliyan and Arjun. Police say that among the accused, Arjun had recently rented the Surya Society flat, where these incidents were carried out. The police are now investigating their bank accounts to find out how many people these criminals had victimized till now and how big was the scope of their illegal extortion.
Gang mastermind: According to police sources, the mastermind of this gang was Arjun, who executed his conspiracy very cleverly. Arjun and his associates together used social media and dating apps to betray the trust of the youth and harass them mentally. The main objective of the gang was to extort money from the youth by preying on them, and for this they used fear, intimidation and physical violence to put pressure on them.
