GRAP 4 restrictions implemented in Delhi NCR, schools will shift to hybrid mode

Pollution has started increasing once again in Delhi-NCR. Now Delhi government has taken action due to pollution. Now the rules of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) 4 have been implemented again in Delhi. Many restrictions have come into effect due to GRAP 4.
 
Due to increasing pollution levels in Delhi, the Directorate of Education of Delhi Government has on Wednesday issued orders to conduct classes in hybrid mode for students up to classes ninth and eleventh. The decision has been taken following the implementation of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) 4 due to rising pollution levels in Delhi-NCR.
 
This order applies to all government, government-aided, unaided recognized private schools under DOE, NDMC, MCD and Delhi Cantonment Board. The official order said, “Heads of all government, government-aided, unaided recognized private schools of DOE, NDMC, MCD and Delhi Cantonment Board are directed to ensure that the children up to class 9 and 11 “To conduct classes in ‘hybrid mode’ i.e. both physical and online mode.”
 
Meanwhile, cold wave is prevailing in Delhi, due to which air pollution levels are increasing. The air quality in the national capital has reached ‘very poor’ category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, AQI was recorded at 344 in Delhi on Wednesday.
 
Delhi’s air quality has deteriorated, with Lodhi Road recording AQI 287 (IITM) and 291 (IMD), according to data published by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Major Dhyanchand National Stadium recorded 368, Mandir Marg 378, Mundka 372 and NSIT Dwarka 242. Najafgarh recorded 255, Narela 377, Nehru Nagar 394 and North Campus, DU 382 (IMD). 380 AQI was recorded in Okhla Phase-2, 390 in Patparganj and 355 in Pusa.
AQI was recorded at 373 in RK Puram, 399 in Rohini, 313 in Shadipur and 360 in Sirifort. 315 were recorded in Sonia Vihar, 222 in Sri Aurobindo Marg, 414 in Vivek Vihar and 408 in Wazirpur. The data shows that Vivek Vihar recorded the highest AQI of 414, indicating severe pollution levels.
