A person allegedly associated with several cases related to tiger hunting has been arrested in Rajura forest area of Chandrapur district in Maharashtra. An official gave this information on Monday.
He said that he was arrested after receiving information about the presence of Ajit Rajgond in the protected forest area in Rajura tehsil. He said that Ajit has a stunned relationship with some poachers of the Bahlia gang.
“He was arrested on suspicion and a local court sent him to custody of the forest department till 31 January,” the official said. Rajgond’s wires are involved in tiger victims in Vidarbha between 2013 and 2015. He was also imprisoned in Tirupati in 2015. He was released on bail in September 2024. ”He said that the special team of the forest department is questioning Ajit.
