Agency, Mumbai. The 15-member squad for Champions Trophy 2025 can be announced any day. Meanwhile, there is only one question in the minds of cricket fans whether injured Jasprit Bumrah will get a place in the team or not?
There is no official information regarding Bumrah’s fitness. It is definitely learned that BCCI has asked him to report to the Bengaluru National Cricket Academy.
… So will Bumrah not be seen in the Champions Trophy?
- Regarding Bumrah, it is being said that B Bumrah may get a place in the 15-member team playing the Champions Trophy, but getting a place in the final 11 will depend on his fitness.
- Bumrah was injured in the second innings of the fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. He had to be taken to the hospital during the match itself. Since then there is no official information on his fitness.
- The selectors will take a decision on whether to include Bumrah in the 15-man squad, but indications are that Bumrah could be included among the additional players depending on his fitness.
When is India’s first match in the Champions Trophy?
Let us tell you, this time the host of Champions Trophy is Pakistan. However, India had refused to send its team to Pakistan. After this India’s matches will be held in Dubai.
The Indian team will start its journey against Bangladesh on January 20 at the Dubai International Stadium. After this, there will be a match against Pakistan on the same ground on 23 February and then against New Zealand on 2 March.
