Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. This year’s edition of Jagran Film Festival attracted cinema lovers. People who love films attended and showed interest in the movies shown in the programme. This year it is hosting 5000 national and international films from 110 countries. These include short films, animation films and a total of 500 feature films of two and a half hours each. This film festival will run for three months in 18 cities of the country, which will conclude in March 2025. This festival has become a center of attraction for film lovers, producers and directors.
Film festival is a bouquet of beautiful films
Jagran Film Festival is being considered a milestone for short films. It provides a platform to low budget short and feature films. French short film ‘On the Bridge’, which is only 4 minutes long, is winning the hearts of the audience with its dialogue-free presentation and exceptional acting. Haryana’s regional film ‘Dhara Ka Tame’ presents the vibrant story of a housewife.
The magic of international films also worked
The animation film ‘Appu: Elephant Life Matter’ and the German film ‘Fall from the Grace’ will be remembered for their simplicity and sensitivity. The festival inspires youth towards film making and provides a broad platform.
Jagran Film Festival is different from other high-end festivals, as it takes cinema to rural and remote areas of the country. Communicating in the Hindi language, the festival gives audiences an intimate experience beyond the pomp and pageantry of Bollywood.
Honor given to women directors
The festival has encouraged female filmmakers and directors, leading to a significant increase in their participation. Jagran Film Festival has become a strong example of Indian cinema with its unique features and diversity. – Ranjana Yadav, Trustee of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana
