A group of four masked miscreants on Monday allegedly attacked a Kerala businessman and forcibly stopped his car and looted a bag containing Rs 1.5 lakh in Mysuru, Karnataka.
The attackers later fled with his car. Police gave this information. This incident was recorded on camera, in which four people dragged the businessman out of his vehicle and pushed him to some distance.
According to the police, the incident took place around 9.15 am at Harohalli village near Jayapura Hobli in Mysuru taluk. Masked people traveling in two cars allegedly stopped the businessman’s car forcibly.
A senior police officer said that businessman Ashraf was not injured, but his driver Sufi was injured in one hand. In his complaint, Ashraf said he was going from Sultan Bathery to HD Kote and was carrying a bag containing Rs 1.50 lakh in cash. According to him, this amount was to be used as advance payment for purchasing betel nuts.
“We have registered a case of robbery under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and a team has been formed to nab the suspects involved,” the police officer said.
