Hearing a petition related to public commentator Rahul Ishwar, Justice PV Kunhikrishnan made this comment. Ishwar filed an anticipatory bail plea demanding security from police action after an actress warned to file a complaint against her to comment on her choice of her clothes. Ishwar mentioned the name of the complainant in his bail plea, due to which the court criticized the action. The High Court settled the petition and directed the Ernakulam Central Police to call God for questioning only after issuing a formal notice. Police told the court that no case has been registered against God regarding the complaint of the actress. A police report handed over to the court said that the actress had filed a complaint against her and a preliminary investigation was going on.

The court advised God to become a champion not only for men, but for all citizens. This comment was made in response to God’s plea that he was trying to establish a Male Commission similar to the current Women’s Commission. Ishwar recently appeared on various media platforms, including a discussion related to the arrest of businessman Bobby Chemmanoor.
