Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from New Delhi Assembly seat Parvesh Verma has strongly attacked AAP national convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, calling it “Halla Clinic” instead of Mohalla Clinic. Parvesh Verma said that this initiative, which was apparently started to provide healthcare to the underprivileged, has become a tool to cheat the public under the guise of welfare. In a letter to Kejriwal, the BJP leader raised many important questions about the implementation and transparency of the scheme.

Verma sought clarity on the funds allocated to the Mohalla clinics. He questioned Kejriwal how much money was spent and where it went. He also demanded public disclosure of irregularities or corruption in the scheme. Verma only sought a detailed list of clinics on paper and the identity of the officials responsible for these false establishments.

Verma demanded detailed data about the number of patients undergoing treatment at the Mohalla Clinic and the total expenses on their treatment. He also accused the government of hiding authentic figures. He also demanded details of the number of family members, his ministers and MLAs of Arvind Kejriwal, who benefited from the scheme. He wanted to know if the clinics are being used for political gains.
