On the statement of Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini in the Yamuna water case, Atishi said that he himself has exposed his lies. This is not a matter of opinion. This is a factual statement.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met the Chief Election Commissioner on Tuesday on the Yamuna water issue. Atishi said that we discussed the issue of water in Delhi. We told the Election Commission how the level of ammonia in Yamuna water of Haryana has reached poisonous level. He said that if we continue to get such contaminated water, then many of our water treatment plants will be closed and 30% of Delhi will not get any water. In the evening, Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini will come to the Election Commission for a meeting with the CEC.
On the statement of Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini in the Yamuna water case, Atishi said that he himself has exposed his lies. This is not a matter of opinion. This is a factual statement. Even a letter written by DJB CEO states that Delhi’s water treatment plant can treat ammonia up to 1-2 ppm. I have suggested to the Election Commission that a joint team of concerned officials of both governments be formed.
BJP MPs from Haryana on Tuesday demanded the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal for his claim that the state (Haryana) was shedding ‘poison’ in the Yamuna river, the source of drinking water supply in Delhi. All 10 MPs from Haryana said in a press conference here that this is a clear matter of Kejriwal’s ‘criminal conspiracy’ as they are trying to create fear among Delhiites. BJP MPs challenged the Aam Aadmi Party government to check the quality of water to be released from Haryana before being supplied to the homes of Delhi.
