As Delhi Assembly elections are getting closer, the political air in the national capital is getting hotter with each passing day. It has been written in the letter that Union ministers and leaders of BJP are getting fake votes done at their home addresses. An FIR should be registered against them immediately and action should be taken. An application has been given to create 33 new votes at the address of BJP candidate Pravesh Verma. If this has happened as per the wish of the BJP candidate then Parvesh Verma should be immediately disqualified from contesting the elections. The New Delhi assembly constituency is set for a high-voltage fight between the saffron party’s Parvesh Verma and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal.
Meanwhile, the BJP on Saturday launched a scathing attack on AAP on the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators and accused the AAP-led Delhi government of seeking support from ‘anti-national’ forces to win the upcoming assembly elections. BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that investigation into fake votes in the national capital has revealed that votes of Bangladeshi infiltrators are being added using fake Aadhaar cards. He further alleged the involvement of two AAP MLAs – Mohinder Goyal and Jai Bhagwan Upkar in the ‘conspiracy’.

Delhi Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on February 5 and counting of votes will take place on February 8. The last date for filing nomination is January 17. The date of scrutiny of nominations is January 18. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is 20th January. There is a possibility of a triangular contest in Delhi as AAP, which is trying to come to power for a record fourth time, is facing challenge from both BJP and Congress. After winning 67 out of 70 seats in the 2020 assembly elections, AAP again won 62 seats in 2020. BJP was successful in taking its number of seats from three to eight in 2020.
