Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha on Wednesday alleged that security personnel outside the polling stations were not allowing their relievers to go inside the polling station. Chadha claimed that he had received many such complaints at about half of booths in New Delhi assembly constituency. He said that both the reliever and polling agent are given the status of polling agent. But such complaints are coming from many places in New Delhi assembly constituency. There is a complaint at about half of the booths that the reliever is not being allowed inside.

Chadha said that the security personnel posted outside the polling station are not allowing our reliever inside. If the reliever did not go inside and our polling agent did not come out then how much voting took place? Was there any fake voting or any kind of dispute at that booth? Whether or not EVM is working properly, all these things cannot be officially revealed. Emphasizing that the elections should be independent and fair, Chadha said that the party is in touch with the District Election Officer and requested him to allow his relievers to enter the polling stations. In addition, he has presented his claims in writing to the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Chief Election Officer Delhi and DM, New Delhi.
He said that that’s why I have come to demand from the entire administration. We have also talked to the District Election Officer, we have requested him to allow our reliever to go inside. There should be equal opportunities for all and there should be independent and fair elections. The voter that wants to vote for any party should be allowed to vote for that party. Now if there is anyone. The last day was intervened and if there was hooliganism, it is not right.

Chadha said that we have also given all these things in writing to the Chief Election Commissioner, Chief Election Officer, Delhi and DM, New Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal posted on X about this. He said that this is the limit. How will you not let the reliever go inside? If the inner booth agent has to go to the toilet, will you keep it captive? Reliever will be replaced by him. This is a violation of human rights. How can you keep booth agents captive?
