Share Market Update: Domestic stock markets closed with gains on Friday due to buying in shares of banks and automobile companies. Sensex rose 226 points while Nifty rose 63 points. At one time during trading, the Sensex had jumped 570.67 points to reach 79,043.15. Among the companies included in the Sensex group, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finserv, Nestle and ICICI Bank closed with gains. On Thursday, BSE Sensex closed 0.39 points lower at 78,472.48 while NSE Nifty rose 22.55 points at 23,750.20.
BSE’s 30-share benchmark Sensex closed at 78,699.07, up 226.59 points or 0.29 percent. At one point during trading, it jumped 570.67 points to reach 79,043.15. The standard index Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) also increased by 63.20 points or 0.27 percent to reach 23,813.40.

Among the companies included in the Sensex group, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finserv, Nestle and ICICI Bank closed with gains. On the other hand, shares of State Bank of India, Tata Steel, Adani Ports, Zomato, UltraTech Cement and HCL Tech were in a declining trend.
In other markets of Asia, Japan’s Nikkei and China’s Shanghai Composite were on the rise while South Korea’s Kospi and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were on the decline. Most of the markets in Europe were trading with gains. US markets closed with a stable trend on Thursday.

Global oil benchmark Brent crude rose 0.18 percent to $73.39 a barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) made a net sale of shares worth Rs 2,376.67 crore on Thursday. In dull trading on Thursday, BSE Sensex closed 0.39 points lower at 78,472.48 while NSE Nifty rose 22.55 points at 23,750.20.(Language)
