A four-year-old girl has been allegedly raped by two boys studying in classes 5th and 8th in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district. Police gave this information on Monday.
The boys, aged 10 and 13, have been detained in connection with the sexual assault incident that took place on January 10 in a village under Kotwali police station area, an official said. He said that this incident came to light after the girl was brought to the district hospital for treatment on Sunday. His condition is said to be stable.
The officer said that according to preliminary information, the family of one of the accused is a tenant of the girl’s family, while the other boy is his neighbour. He told that one of these boys is a student of fifth class while the other studies in eighth class.
The officer said that on the pretext of playing, the boys took the girl to a field on the outskirts of the village where they allegedly sexually assaulted her. He said that later medical examination confirmed sexual assault after which the hospital informed the police. He said that a case has been registered.
