Share market news: Sensex and Nifty rose in early trade on Tuesday amid continued investment from domestic institutional investors. BSE Sensex rose 324.83 points to 79,820.98 in early trade. Whereas NSE Nifty stood at 24,242 points with a gain of 100.7 points.
Advantages in these shares: Among the 30 Sensex listed companies, shares of Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, Titan, Reliance Industries and Power Grid were the biggest gainers. Shares of Maruti, HDFC Bank, Asian Paints and IndusInd Bank were the biggest losers.
Listing of Sagility India IPO: Shares of Sagility India Limited, which provides technology enabled services in the healthcare sector, were listed in the market on Tuesday with a rise of 3.53 percent from its issue price of Rs 30. The stock was listed on both BSE and NSE with a gain of 3.53 per cent over the issue price. Later it rose 7.2 percent to Rs 32.16 on BSE. The market valuation of the company stood at Rs 15,059.83 crore. The IPO of Segility India Limited was subscribed 3.20 times.
In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei, China’s Shanghai Composite, South Korea’s Kospi and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were in loss. US markets closed on a positive note on Monday.
International standard Brent crude fell 0.15 percent to $ 71.72 per barrel. The rupee fell two paise to its all-time low of 84.40 per dollar in early trade on Tuesday.
According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were sellers on Monday and sold shares worth a net Rs 2,306.88 crore. Whereas domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 2,026.63 crore.
