Shirdi . Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said there is no place in his party Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for anyone with a bad image among the public. Ajit said that those doing wrong will be expelled from the party. Ajit Pawar, who rebelled against his uncle Sharad Pawar in 2023 and claimed the NCP, said that the future belongs to the NCP. “The base of NCP workers should be created in villages and every street,” he said in his concluding speech at the NCP conference in Shirdi. Everyone should work in coordination.”
In the assembly elections held on November 20 in Maharashtra, NCP won 41 seats, which is four times more than the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar). Ajit said, “Our responsibility has increased after the assembly elections. People aspirants contesting the upcoming local body elections should select workers responsible for ensuring votes from a group of 25 houses. If four votes (for NCP) are cast from each of the 25 houses, we will get 100 votes.”
He appealed to NCP workers to join the youth, doctors, engineers and lawyers in the party. Ajit said that people are joining NCP, but the party should remain united and its image should not be affected. He said, “There is no place in the party for a person with a bad image among the public. There should not be any wrong conduct. Those who do wrong things will be expelled from the party.
Ajit’s remarks come in the backdrop of opposition parties criticizing NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Dhananjay Munde in the Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder case. He announced the formation of medical assistance and “assurance implementation” cells. He said, “Medical aid cell will be in the office of every minister. Ajit said the NCP will try to fulfill at least one election promise in every constituency till Ganesh Utsav.
