On Friday evening in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, an uncontrolled truck hit a vehicle of devotees returning from the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, killing at least six people and injured several. The accident took place in Kusami Kala area near Nandganj police station. It is being told that there were about 20 passengers in the pickup van at the time of the accident. On the other hand, the truck driver ran away from the spot after the accident. A day before this, at least 30 people were killed and 60 people were injured in a stampede before dawn in the confluence area of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Millions of pilgrims were looking for a place to take a holy dip on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya.
