Internal Minister Ali Yralikaya said that Turkish officials have detained 100 suspected members of the Islamic State (IS) associated with the Daesh terrorist organization last week. The minister said that the officials determined that the suspects were carrying out activities within the organization. The group was providing financial assistance and campaigning for the terrorist organization on social media. According to the report by the news agency Xinhua, Jerolikaya said that the police seized organizational documents and digital materials during the raid.

In 2019, some individuals have established a network in Turkey on suspicion of being associated with Daish after the self-proclaimed Khilafat, called Khorasan Province (Daish-K). According to Turkish security sources, the network is allegedly looking for new methods and actively recruiting foreign nationals, as the ongoing anti -terrorism efforts have made important challenges.
