Washington. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while greeting the people of India on the occasion of Republic Day, said that the partnership between America and New Delhi is continuously reaching new heights and it will be a defining relationship of the 21st century. India will showcase its military might and vibrant cultural heritage at an annual parade on the Path of Duty in New Delhi on Sunday to mark 75 years as a republic.
Rubio said, “On behalf of America, I congratulate the people of India on their country’s Republic Day. “As they celebrate the adoption of the Indian Constitution, we stand with them in recognizing its enduring importance as the foundation of the world’s largest democracy.” He said that the partnership between America and India continues to reach new heights and this relationship will be defining of the 21st century.
“The enduring friendship between the peoples of our two countries is the foundation of our cooperation and it inspires us to move forward as we recognize the tremendous potential of our economic ties,” Rubio said. He said, “We look forward to further enhancing our cooperation in the coming year, including through the ‘Quad’ (Quad) to take forward our joint efforts in space research and to foster a free, open and prosperous Indo-Pacific region. An organization of four countries.” ‘Quad’ includes India, America, Australia and Japan.
