Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) announced a ‘dedicated helicopter quota’ facility for senior citizens and disabled pilgrims at the famous Vaishno Devi temple located on the Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
SMVDSB Chief Executive Officer Anshul Garg said that this facility has been announced only under new initiatives launched with the aim of increasing pilgrimage services. He informed that quota will be available on the official website of the board from Saturday.
Garg said that the board has always been committed to improving the experience of pilgrimage by starting new facilities from time to time and upgrading the existing infrastructure.
He said, “This facility has been introduced in response to the long -standing demand by the Senior Citizen Forum. The forum had recently held a meeting with a high level committee and demanded a separate helicopter booking quota. “Garg told reporters in Katra,” A similar quota was also implemented for battery car booking.
