Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has expressed his disappointment on Union Budget 2025. He said that this is a very disappointing budget, it is a unscrupulous budget. This budget does not meet the demands of the state of Karnataka. The central government has not announced any project required by us from Karnataka in this budget. Siddaramaiah said that the Union Budget can be cured from the country’s perspective, but it is very disappointing from the perspective of Karnataka. He has given an empty utensil to Karnataka, no money has been allocated for irrigation projects in Karnataka.
Siddaramaiah said that he had sent several requests to the Center to include in this budget, but he was not considered. He said that people know that Karnataka is the second highest taxing state, but it gets the lowest stake in tax. Siddaramaiah said, “Our projects such as Mekadatu reservoir, upper Bhadra water project, Mahadayi River and Krishna River Irrigation Projects were not considered on Kaveri in Kanakpura. We had high expectations from the budget, but it could not live up to them. “He said,” In Bengaluru, we sought money for rainwater drainage projects and business corridors, but we got ’empty Chombu’. Overall, this budget gives’ Chombu ‘to Karnataka.’
The Chief Minister alleged that Bihar and Andhra Pradesh have got a large share in the budget. Siddaramaiah underlined, “The center has a coalition government. Special grants have been given to Bihar and Andhra Pradesh for political reasons. He was given a package last year and this year too. In a way, this budget emphasizes more on Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. ”The Chief Minister said that he feels that just as Karnataka got ‘Chombu’, Bihar will also get ‘Chombu’. The Chief Minister, however, admitted that he had not read the entire budget and he could not hear the entire budget speech of Sitharaman.
