After meeting Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Deputy Chief Minister Emperor Chaudhary said that work on two projects costing more than Rs 730.59 crore for construction of Bihta -Aurangabad and Sultanganj -Deoghar railway line in Bihar will start soon. Chaudhary said that due to the formation of a new railway line (78.08 km) between Sultanganj -Deoghar at a cost of 290 crores, the journey of thousands of devotees going to the Shravani fair will be smooth. On the commissioning of this railway line, the people of Sultanganj, Asarganj, Tarapur, Belhar and Deoghar will directly connect with the rail connectivity.
He said that the government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 440.59 crore for the new railway line from Anugraha Narayan Road to Aurangabad (12.90 km). This line is a part of the new line of Bihta-Aurangabad. With this, the distance between the capital Patna and Aurangabad will be fixed in just one and a half hours. 14 stations are proposed for this rail route.
