A 15-year-old boy was injured when a man allegedly opened fire in northeast Delhi. Police gave this information on Saturday. He said that on Saturday he received information about firing in B-Block of Welcome area.

Officials said that when the police team reached the spot, they came to know that the injured teenager had been taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital by his father. According to the police, the complainant has alleged that when he was standing in the street on Friday night at 11.30 pm, the accused came near him and started abusing him.

When the complainant objected, he shot him in the right leg, a police officer said. According to the officer, the teenager fell on the ground after being shot. Police say that a case has been registered in connection with this incident and efforts are being made to identify and arrest the culprit.
